Taking place every other year the Transat Jacques Vabre is a two handed transatlantic race for monohull and multihull yachts. The major ocean race began 20 years ago and takes place every other year following the historic coffee trading route between France and Brazil. The 2013 race will begin on 3rd November 2013 and has a new destination. From Le Havre, France the vessels will be heading for Itajai, a major fishing port in Brazil. The start of the race will cap off nine days of events and celebrations in Le Havre. With participants such as Banque Populaire and Hugo Boss planning to take part, this is the next big event following the Vendee Globe to keep a close eye on!!
