Central Location
Although we are happy to run Dragon boat racing events all around the UK, we have selected Dorney Lake as our ‘home’ venue because of its great central location and amazing facilities.
The lake at Dorney is 2,600 metres long with 8 lanes each 13.5m wide. This world class venue is regarded as the finest purpose-build rowing lake in the world and cost £17million to construct. It was the venue for the 2012 Olympic rowing and is only 10 miles from the M25. The home of Eton College Rowing Club, the shore side facilities are perfect for meetings, BBQs and prize giving receptions.
Land Based Activities
With a stunning 450 acre setting, we are able to combine Dragon boat racing with any number of land base activities. ‘It’s a Knock Out’ style challenges are suitable for huge groups; alternatively choose the more sophisticated laser clay shooting, archery or Segways. Some capers border on the very unusual, such as duck herding and the egg toss!
Something different to finish…
For an extra special event, why not consider using the nearby private Island owned by Eton College for an evening party. Queen’s Eyot is accessible by private ferry and can provide the most quintessentially British evening in the clubhouse and on the lawns.
