We have listed some of the bigger Solent events of 2025 below, to help you plan your own event. Whether that means aiming for or avoiding those dates, we are here to help create your perfect day.
2025 Special Solent Dates
30th May – 2nd June 2025: Cowes Classics Week: Cowes Classics Week is all about racing traditional yachts and enjoying fantastic social events ashore. Furthermore, the event also hosts a classic car show in Cowes on the Sunday.
7th June 2025: Round the Island Race: Join over 1,200 boats in this iconic “Race for All“, attracting participants from around the world to navigate its 50-nautical-mile course around the Isle of Wight. With a history dating back to 1931, it remains a prestigious competition for sailors of all levels, also offering a thrilling challenge!
4th – 6th July 2025: Taittinger Royal Solent Yacht Club Regatta: This Yarmouth-based regatta kicks off on the 4th of July with a day of training, followed by two days of exhilarating racing on the picturesque Western Solent.
19th – 20th July: SailGP Portsmouth: SailGP Portsmouth is a thrilling event in the global SailGP series, where cutting-edge foiling catamarans race at high speeds on the Solent, showcasing some of the world’s best sailors and offering exciting competition for spectators.
26th July 2025: Rolex Fastnet Race Start: The 100th anniversary of the iconic Rolex Fastnet Race. The race begins with a dramatic start off the Isle of Wight, where hundreds of yachts race from Cowes, navigating a challenging course across the English Channel and beyond, to the Fastnet Rock.
2nd – 8th August 2025: Cowes Week: Cowes Week is one of the oldest and most prestigious sailing regattas in the world, attracting a diverse fleet of yachts and sailors from around the globe and hosting fantastic social events ashore. As official charter supplier to Cowes Week, we are here to help you get out on the water to race or spectate.
