Corporate Rib Treasure Hunts
We run our Rib charters throughout the year, for all different people, for business – and always for pleasure! Corporate away days, teambuilding mornings, sight-seeing Rib blast with lunch on the Isle of Wight – everything is possible.
One of our most popular Rib activities is the Corporate Rib Treasure Hunt. It is a great teambuilding day and a fantastic fun activity for people to get to know each other better. The competitive element is a key attraction – plus the photos afterwards a brilliant memento of the day.
What Does the Day Entail?
The group will be split into teams – either by you or your lead-skipper. Armed with an i-Pad, pre-loaded with game software, they will go out on the Solent, visiting various locations, both on the Isle of Wight and the mainland. On the water, it’s time to enjoy the wind in your hair and take in the sights. Once moored up on location, the teams will have to guide themselves using their GPS-based map, unlocking challenges as they go – and learning about the local area.
Typical Treasure Hunt Format
A typical full day’s Treasure Hunt will take teams to two locations in the morning, followed by lunch at your chosen venue, before re-grouping and continuing on to another location in the afternoon. A 2-course BBQ at one of our partner venues like the Island Sailing Club or the Royal Ocean Racing Club in Cowes, are always popular. You could also choose for a shorter treasure hunt, not straddling lunch. Maybe a team meeting in the morning, followed by a teambuilding treasure hunt in the afternoon.
More people means more Ribs – as the Ribs take your teams from location to location, our skippers will run through different formations as you blast across The Solent together. The larger your group, the bigger your fleet – exhilarating and impressive to be a part of!
The Wrap Up
The day draws to a close at your chosen location, scores are collated by our skippers and medals awarded to the winning team. We can of course organise a Pimms’ reception to really finish the day in style!
