We are in the last weeks of Summer and what a glorious September it has been so far!
September is a top-sailing month with many corporate regattas – the Little Britain Challenge Cup, the Silicon Cup, to name but a few. Many companies choose September for their sailing events – everyone is back from their summer break and attendance is guaranteed.
October also still offers good opportunities to go out for a sail and bring the team together – all our charters come with full wet-weather gear so the occasional shower won’t matter. In our experience rain has never dampened spirits – quite the opposite – it appears to really bring teams together!
We still have some availability, so do call us if you feel the team could do with a day out together – after all, Christmas parties are still a long way away.
Rib blasts and Rib treasure hunts on the Solent are excellent fun, regardless of the weather. We provide the wet-weather gear and you bring the gloves and wooly hats if the temperature is not playing ball.
The key to these events is shorter time on the water, with one or more stops along the way. Giving you time to pick up that all important hot chocolate and/or lunch – either on the mainland or the Isle of Wight.
Why not, as part of your autumn conference at the Southampton Harbour Hotel, book a half day Rib Treasure Hunt, to blow the cobwebs away and see the sights – with a bit of competition thrown in.
Or organise a stay in one of the beautiful hotels in the New Forest, such as Lime Wood, Rhinefield House Hotel, Balmer Lawn – the list is endless. After a morning forest walk, arrive at Lymington Yacht Haven, board one of our Ribs, blast to The Needles and pop across to Yarmouth for lunch.
