Wow… where did that season go? It only seems 5 minutes ago that we ran a post-conference Rib event from The Southampton Harbour Hotel in March and now it’s all over for another year!
Whilst the beginning of the year started slowly (possibly due to some uncertainly that we DEFINITELY won’t get into!), the mid and late season bookings and events made for a very respectable year all in all. Team reward and team building events continue to dominate our bookings and most of these tend to have a trend of ‘turnkey simplicity’ for the client in common. We specialise in making what can otherwise be time consuming and complicated events, very easy and pain free for the booker by taking care of virtually everything. Pre-or Post-conference events on the water have again been a favourite to ensure that it’s not all ‘death by PowerPoint’!
Highlights this year included several 10+ yacht sailing regattas, all organised specifically to the clients requirements as well as some larger Rib treasure hunts. Our new classic yacht sailing days have been very well received, notably when paired with the 5* Southampton Harbour Hotel that’s conveniently located right alongside the yacht’s home berth!
Cowes Week is always a big deal for us (as an official supplier to the regatta) and this year saw the amazing sight of the new SailGP foiling catamarans on the first weekend. This new event saw the fastest ever sailing speeds recorded on The Solent with the Brits being the team to break the illusive 50 knot barrier (55mph) for the very first time!
2019 saw the return of many regular clients and the introduction of many new ones that we are confident to welcome aboard again in 2020.
In conclusion, the year has been very much ‘business as usual’ and we’ll be spending the winter months refreshing and perfecting our offerings for the season ahead and reconnecting with clients both old and new!
