Following the government announcements last night there are very encouraging signs that the events industry will be able to start to get back to work soon. At Solent Events, our season is relatively short so with 17th May being sited as a potential date that small groups can again get together, we’ll be ready and waiting to greet our guests. For the majority of our events, we have always provided a substantial meal and whilst our caterers, The Ministry of Food Hampshire do the best home made scotch eggs in the world in our opinion, they won’t be all that’s on your plate to open our doors!
For our larger events, 21st June looks likely to give confidence for many to book with us, although we have written in a Covid-19 fair deferral clause into all our contracts for nearly a year now.
The annual Round The Island Race takes place on 3rd July 2022 and the world famous Cowes Week sailing regatta starts on 31st July. Many of the larger industry regattas take place in September and early October has always been popular for those wanting to get onto the water before we hang up our oilskins for the winter!
