Is being out on the water your passion, but prefer not to be the one “in control”? Love the thrill of the start of a sailing race, but preferably from the side-lines? Can’t really own your own amazing yacht, but love admiring them?
Why not come out on a skippered charter – yacht, powerboat or Rib – and “spectate”? Be a part of it, without actually taking part!
Exciting days on the water for the 2023 season:
| 1st July | Round the Island Race | The annual 50 nautical miles race, regularly attracting over 1200 boats, is spectacular to witness. Going around the Isle of Wight anti-clockwise, the boats start in Cowes, racing westward to round The Needles – always a popular spectator spot! |
| 8th – 14th July | Cowes Classics Week | Cowes Classics Week is all about racing traditional yachts on the water and enjoying fabulous social events ashore. |
| 14th July – 16th July | Taittinger Royal Solent Yacht Club Regatta | One day of “race training”, followed by two days of fast paced racing on the Western Solent. |
| 22nd July | Start of the Rolex Fastnet Race | 50th edition of the world’s largest offshore yacht race, setting sail from Cowes, rounding Fastnet Rock and finishing in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin. |
| 29th July – 4th August | Cowes Week | The longest running and largest annual sailing regatta in the world – plenty to see and do, on and off the water. |
| 27th August | Cowes Torquay Cowes Offshore Powerboat Race | Powerboat teams from around the world race 182 nautical miles from Cowes to Torquay and back. If you like your powerboats – don’t miss them fly past! |
