The start of Cowes Week 2024 is less than a month away and we can’t wait!
At 198 years young, Cowes Week is the world’s longest running regatta – what started with 7 yachts in 1826, now has evolved into a 500 boat, 7-day racing event. The mixture of ultra-modern designs with classics, one-design and multihull classes, makes this regatta unique.
Competitors range from world class sailors to weekend enthusiasts – around 5000 of them – and they are cheered on by the 60.000 visitors that are attracted to the fantastic atmosphere ashore in Cowes.
The 500 to 600 keelboats are split into 30 classes, racing on each of the 7 days.
It is still possible to join the racing fun – our yachts are crewed with a minimum of a skipper and mate, thus enabling a complement of complete novices to take full part in the racing. More typically, crews have a mixed range of experience, and we are used to accommodating all skill levels. No experience… no problem!
Or choose a more relaxed sail over to Cowes, spectating the racing on the way and enjoying the hustle and bustle on shore.
If you prefer to watch sailing rather than partake, why not charter one of our Ribs or a powerboat with skipper for the day?
