Now we might be a little biased, but we do think that we offer just about the perfect location for a trip out on the water.
First of all, there is the water – The Solent.
Offering The Needles and Hurst Castle on one end, four Napoleonic era Forts on the other, and in between the most wonderful collection of bays, creeks and landmarks, it really takes a lot to beat.
Drop the anchor in Totland Bay for a swim or maybe Newtown Creek, with its resident seals, or Osborne Bay with the backdrop of Osborne House.
Visit the Georgian cottages of Buckler’s Hard up the Beaulieu River; picturesque, historic Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight; or maybe Cowes – the sailing capital of the Solent.
Then there is the land – from the New Forest to the Isle of Wight, Southampton to Portsmouth – there is so much to see and do, so many wonderful places to eat and stay.
We work together with some fantastic hotels both in the New Forest and on the water front. Rhinefield House, Careys Manor, Balmer Lawn, all offer stunning forest locations for corporate and private days away, and are all in easy reach of Lymington Yacht Haven and Southampton marinas.
If you want to be directly on the water, we can highly recommend the George Hotel in Yarmouth, and of course the 5-star Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa, right on Ocean Village Marina.
If you don’t want to stay, but just eat, drink and be merry, the list of fantastic venues is endless. For our charters we can offer the option of lunch on the terrace of our special Cowes Week (and all season) partner venue, The Royal Ocean Racing Club in Cowes.
